In 2007 a group of military veterans from the La Costa Glen Retirement Community in Carlsbad, California started a charity called "Care Packages from Home." It is led by Dr. Les Tenney, a former World War II POW who survived the Bataan Death March. Dr. Tenney never received a care package while overseas, so he wants to make sure that our service men and women know America still supports them.

Fourth - I will need a credit card number with expiration date. If you are not comfortable sending it via e-mail - send me a phone number and I will call you. Tell what is a good time to reach you.
I cannot issue the Gift Certificate until payment is verified. Once you recieve the Gift Certificate, all you have to do is prInt it out and present it to the cashier when checking out. We keep a copy on file.

Jeanne and I are happy and excited to announce that Momo-Dini of Momo-Dini Embroidery Art will be at our shop on Friday, July 13, 2012 to conduct her Trunk Show in the morning and Hands-On Class in the afternoon. We have selected the Georgette Scarf with her Dragonflies for our shop club project. See below for details and sign up as soon as you can to make sure you have a seat. Read on for specific details…. MomoDini is the home of sisters Momo and Dini. Recognized artists in their native China, they have won numerous awards for our paintings and designs in China as well as in International competitions.Both sisters were Fine Arts professors, Momo at The Central Academy of Arts and Design, and Dini at the Arts Institute of Northeast Normal University.With their years of design training and experience as artists and teachers of artistic techniques, Momo and Dini have created designs for your projects. All thir designs are original and unique. Friday, July 13, 2012 Trunk Show Lecture – 9:30 a.m. to Noon Title: Beautiful Embroidery Description: For many years, people have asked questions about the secret of Momo-Dini's unbelievable soft, elegant embroidery designs. This workshop provides answers to those questions, and more. Agenda: How to create beautiful embroidery designs How to create Embroidery Art How to choose threads color to match fabrics How to make your embroidery project soft How to embroider on soft delicate wool sweaters How to embroider on sleeves How to create collar designs How to use stabilizers and how to do without them. The Trunk Show and Hands-On Class fee for members of Rosie’s Embroidery Club is FREE; all others the fee is $15.00 for the Trunk Show and $35.00 for the Hands-On Class which includes the kit with the design, scarf, and stabilizer. If you sign up and attend both sessions, you will also receive a $10.00 Reimbursement Gift Certificate (issued in class) for Momo-Dini designs purchased the day of class. Discover how to create nearly reversible embroideries on sheer fabrics. Learn to hoop sheer, drapery, and delicate fabrics.
